The Science Days of the Technical University begin today at 2 PM in the auditorium of the Technical University – Plovdiv branch. This annual forum unites scientific events across the country. In Plovdiv, it includes for the 10th time the TECHSIS conference, organized by the team of the Plovdiv technical university. Over 150 scientists from Bulgaria and abroad have applied to participate. The Scientific Committee has accepted the papers of slightly more than 100 of them for the conference. "This year, the organization of the conference is also on-line. This type of holding of
our sessions gave us a new tool for collaboration and contacts with researchers from different countries. We have largely become accustomed to this way of working and strive to take advantage of this tool,” commented the rector of the Technical University, Prof. Dr. Vaelo Nikolov. “TECHSIS is a professional forum in the field of engineering sciences at a very high level. The goal is to bring together elite developments and present them to the attention of both the scientific and academic community and industrial consumers. Here we declare our ideas to the world, and then they must find their application in the economy.” – commented Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nikola Shakev, who is on the organizing committee of the scientific event. In addition to Bulgarian scientists, TECHSIS features developments presented by representatives of the academic communities from Turkey, Romania, Serbia, North Macedonia, and
first time from Kazakhstan. The scientific team of the Technical University – Plovdiv Branch is presenting 20 papers in the main scientific areas of TECHSIS: mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer engineering, electronics, automation and robotics, transport and aviation, industrial management. Professor Nikolov explained that the scientific sessions are open not only to participants, but also to students of the Technical University – Plovdiv Branch, as well as to large companies that have already shown interest in the engineering developments. The papers not only present new engineering ideas, but also the development of already announced scientific developments from previous years in the economies of different countries. The TECHSIS papers will be available in electronic format for those interested. They will be published in two editions – in the journal of the Technical University Sofia – Plovdiv Branch, and in a journal of the American Institute of Physics (AIP). The American edition is renowned and provides an opportunity for global exposure for all participants in TECHSIS, as at the Plovdiv scientific forum
will be dedicated a separate issue.
