On March 27 at 9:00 a remote preliminary entrance examination in mathematics for studies at the Technical University - TU in Sofia will take place. Last year, TU-Sofia was the first higher education institution in Bulgaria to organize entrance examinations in this innovative way, the university press center reports. The exam will be conducted using a specialized university platform and the Google Meet application. Those admitted to the exam must have remote access via a continuous internet connection to a computer configuration with available and working video camera and microphone. The duration of the exam is four astronomical hours, divided into two modules of 120 minutes each, with a mandatory 15-minute break between them. The first module consists of 20 tasks of lower difficulty, with each correctly solved task worth 1 point. The second module consists of 10 tasks of higher difficulty, with each correctly solved task worth 2 points. The maximum number of points from the test is 40. The Technical University in Sofia is organizing its entrance campaign for the 2021/2022 academic year with an innovative approach - every week from February 11 to April 22, there is an online entrance studio. It is broadcast on the YouTube channel of TU-Sofia, at the address - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCinqGTOodXErbBBW7v01H_A, and on the Facebook page of TU - https://www.facebook.com/technicaluniversitysofia. At the online meetings, deans, teachers, and outstanding students present the 32 bachelor's specialties in the 14 faculties of the Technical University in Sofia, and students from professional high schools can ask their questions. Representatives of leading international and Bulgarian companies also participate in the studio, introducing prospective students to opportunities for internships and practices during their studies and to prospects for their professional realization. The Technical University in Sofia has built rich traditions in the preparation and realization of thousands of students, who today are outstanding scientists, engineers, managers, and leaders in Bulgaria and around the world. According to the university rating system, TU-Sofia has been leading in six professional fields for another year - "Mechanical Engineering", "Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Automation", "Communications and Computer Engineering", "Energy", "Transport, Shipping and Aviation", and "General Engineering". In the year of its 75th anniversary, the Technical University became one of the eight founders of the European Technological University EUt+ - a new type of institution on a confederal basis, which will offer students even more opportunities for modern training at the highest level and obtaining European bachelor's and master's degrees.
