"The Technical College in Kazanlak was our cause, which is now a fact. For four years now, personnel for the machine-building business in our city have been trained there," stated Iliana Zhekova - candidate for Member of Parliament from the GERB list in Kazanlak, during her visit to the educational institution. Zhekova, together with the head of the list, Minister of Education Krasimir Valkov, and parliamentary candidates Roman Zhelev and Maria Ginova, were welcomed by the rector of the institution, Prof. Ivalyo Ganev. "GERB has always worked for the development of educational infrastructure, and as an example, we can point to the updated educational environment in schools and kindergartens in the municipality of Kazanlak," stated parliamentary candidate Roman Zhelev. The Technical College – Kazanlak is the only legitimate higher education institution in the city, a branch of the Technical University – Sofia. Students at the college have the same status as those at the university and are entitled to: European scholarships, participation in paid student internships, the opportunity to continue their studies in a master's program, participation in the "Erasmus" program, the possibility to study and work, with full-time study mode and a schedule adapted to their employment. Their training is conducted by highly qualified teachers from the Technical University - Sofia.
