Bulgarian athletes finished their participation in the World Junior Championship in Bansko strongly. Kalin Zlatkov (Yulen) took the prestigious 12th place. He was 19th after the first run, but with a strong second run, he flew up 7 positions. "I still have reserves. In the first run, I didn't ski in the best way. Konstantin Stoilov (Vitosha Ski) also gave his all in the final descent and took 17th place. Our third talent, Nikolai Semerdzhiev (Pamporovo), finished 26th, also with a good ride. The victory goes to Benjamin Ritchie (USA) – 1:40.36 min, who on February 21st took 13th place in the slalom at the World Championship in Cortina. "That my coach lined up the first run a little helped me, Ritchie commented after the race. – The track is the best I have skied on this year. The hospitality and organization are at a very high level." Silver goes to Fadri Januti (Switzerland) – 1:40.84 min. Third with 1:41.06 min is Joshua Sturm (Austria). In the boys' category under 18 years, the winner is Ruomi Katayama (Japan), ahead of Balint Yuri (Hungary) and Kotaro Harasawa (Japan). The prize winners received medals and gifts from the organizers and from the leading Bulgarian telecom A1.
