Vivacom launched its traditional initiative "Technical Academy", which is being held for the eleventh consecutive year in collaboration with the Faculty of Telecommunications of the Technical University - Sofia. During the training, specialists and experts from the telecom operator will teach students practice-oriented courses. The topics to be presented are not part of the regular curriculum at the university and cover various areas of practice, explain Vivacom. Some are highly specialized and technological, while others are related to project management, technical English, product and service development, legal framework and regulation of telecommunications, business communications, etc. The eleventh edition is the first in the history of the project to start in an online environment due to the epidemic situation related to the spread of Covid-19 and the transition to distance learning. The Academy is divided into two modules within the two semesters during the 2020/2021 academic year, and the course schedule is aligned with the university's student program. This year, 30 students from the Faculty of Telecommunications at TU Sofia will participate in the Academy, who have successfully passed an initial selection based on documents and a phone interview. The "VIVACOM Technical Academy" project is aimed at students from the III and IV years of the specialties "Telecommunications", "Computer Systems and Technologies" and "Electronics". It gives students the opportunity to acquire additional knowledge and practical experience from established specialists in the field and to get the opportunity for career development in the telecom sector. Successful completion of the "VIVACOM Technical Academy" also brings additional points to students when forming the competitive score for the master's degree at the Faculty of Telecommunications.
