This Saturday (December 12, 2020), the second round of the International Programming Competition CodeIT, organized by Musala Soft, will take place. The round is of the "SPRINT" type - it starts at 14:00 and ends at 17:00, and contestants in the main and Junior rankings will have to solve several tasks of varying difficulty within three hours. The Sprint is held under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Eng. Ivan Králov, Rector of TU - Sofia, Prof. Dr. Ognyan Nakov, Dean of the Faculty of "Computer Systems and Technologies" at TU - Sofia, and Ivaïlo Ushagelov, Director of the National Natural Sciences and Mathematics High School "Acad. Lyubomir Chakalov". Special awards from the competition partners Cougar and Prestigio will be awarded to three participants after the end of the second round. The rankings for all rounds, news, and any current information about the competition can be followed on the website www.codeit.bg and on Facebook/CodeIT.BG - https://goo.gl/GVrULo. CodeIT has no age restrictions for participants, but the main group of contestants are students and university students with interests in the field of algorithms and competitive programming - many of them are medalists from national and international olympiads. The competition takes place annually in 6 preliminary online rounds and a final in-person round in partnership with companies, non-governmental organizations, IT associations, and leading educational institutions in Bulgaria. CodeIT takes place in 6 correspondence (online) rounds: o Three "SPRINT" rounds, each of which includes 5 "fast" tasks. This type of task is related to finding an exact result for each assignment; o Three "MARATHON" rounds, each of which includes 1 task. In this type of round, an optimal result for solving the assignment is sought; o In June, the final in-person round takes place, in which the twelve best contestants of the season participate.
