Three students from the Technical University of Sofia won the prestigious scholarship that supports young engineering talents. For the sixth consecutive year, ABB Bulgaria announced the students who managed to win the scholarship of the "ABB Jurgen Dorman" Foundation, which aims to support motivated engineering students who wish to continue their studies. The scholarship is awarded in more than 12 countries to students with excellent academic achievements. With more than 20 applications received, ABB Bulgaria selected the top three students from the Technical University of Sofia and its branch in Plovdiv. This year's scholarship recipients are: - Ralitsa Kostadinova - major "Automation, Information and Control Engineering", Faculty of Electronics and Automation, Plovdiv branch; - Simeon Andonov - major "Electrical Engineering and Electrical Equipment", Faculty of Electrical Engineering; - Delyan Dimitrov - major "Applied Mathematics and Informatics", Faculty of Applied Mathematics and Informatics. The scholarship is awarded to first- or second-year students and includes annual financial support in the amount of 5,860 BGN and a one-time payment of 900 BGN for purchasing technical equipment. The students have the opportunity to work with an ABB mentor during their studies. There is also the possibility of a summer internship at the company, as well as access to an online English language course to further expand their training. The scholarship recipients can also participate in the biennial international event for "Jurgen Dorman" Foundation scholarship holders in Switzerland, which gives scholarship holders from all countries the opportunity to meet, work on specific projects, and present their solutions to an expert jury.
