The Technical University of Sofia provides all its students with the opportunity to use dormitories. At their own request, they can use the same room throughout their entire studies, provided that they fulfill their student obligations and adhere to the rules in the dormitories. From September 16 to September 25, 2020, first-year students will receive their accommodation documents for student dormitories. In order to improve organization and prevent the gathering of large groups of people, accommodation for different faculties will be scheduled over 7 working days from September 16 to September 25, 2020.

First-year students learn their accommodation date on the day of enrollment. On the day for receiving accommodation orders, they will enter only through the main entrance of Academic Building 1 – Rectorate, and only 20 students at a time will be allowed to proceed to the "Student Dormitories and Canteens" department, while all others must wait outside the building due to measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus. "We strive to fulfill all accommodation requests. With great effort, the team of "Student Dormitories and Canteens" at TU-Sofia managed to provide a room in the dormitory for all students, despite the serious shortage of places in student dormitories in Sofia for many years. Approximately 940 first-year students have been accommodated," stated Assistant Engineer Vasil Tsanov, head of the department.
