On 20.10.2020 at 10:30, the Faculty of Automation of the Technical University - Sofia opens a new faculty laboratory in Building 2, Room 2120B. The new laboratory will train master's students from the faculty's newest specialization, "Embedded Control Systems," where students will acquire basic knowledge of the principles and methods of automated control, which will be implemented in embedded control systems. The laboratory has been renovated and equipped with the support of Kostal Sofasoft Bulgaria EOOD - a leading company in the development and production of electronics and electromechanical components for the automotive industry - and has a capacity of 18 seats for lectures and seminars and 9 laboratory stations equipped with computers and kits for developing embedded control systems. The modern world requires new solutions to existing problems, implementation of theory into practice, to meet the need for communication and control between humans and machines. Embedded control systems are present everywhere in our daily lives - in every mobile phone, consumer electronics, cars, airplanes, and all modern vehicles, as well as in industrial processes. The laboratory will be opened by the Rector of TU-Sofia, Prof. Dr. Eng. Ivan Králov. Official guests of the event are Krasiimir Paskalev - Manager of Kostal Sofasoft Bulgaria EOOD, Deputy Rectors, Deans, faculty members, and students from TU - Sofia.
