Madeleine Sarkissian, Kaloyan Angelov, Technological University "Electronic Systems" at the Technical University, Business Start. 02.10.2020. Students create their own IT projects during the sixth edition of the HackTUES hackathon, working with mentors from the real IT business. Madeleine Sarkissian and Kaloyan Angelov from the Technological University "Electronic Systems" at the Technical University discussed this initiative on the "Business Start" show hosted by Zhivka Popatanasova. "There is a lot of potential in the IT field that wants to learn," said Kaloyan Angelov. According to Madeleine, from a technological perspective, things are developing well and there is a future in Bulgaria in this direction. This year's theme, prepared for each team of 3 to 5 people, is Smart City. Meetings with mentors can bring participants not only support for their project but also internship and practicum opportunities, which will provide them with a start in their future career development. HackTUES is the first and only hackathon of its kind in Bulgaria, organized by students for students. The event started in 2015 as an initiative of students from the Technological University "Electronic Systems" at TU - Sofia.
