NKIZ participates in a round table on creating an effective link between business and education

The Executive Director of the "National Company Industrial Zones" Antoaneta Bares participated in the fourth round table "Network of stakeholders for improving higher education policy – opportunities for better dialogue", which took place at the Center for International Meetings of the Technical University – Sofia. The discussions, organized by the Center for Research and Analysis, lasted two days and aimed to build an effectively functioning higher education system in Bulgaria that would ensure a qualified workforce in accordance with global standards and the needs of the economy. "The issue of finding qualified specialists is a challenge for Bulgarian and foreign investors who have chosen to develop their business in the industrial zones of NKIZ. Our company has an authorial program called "Fast Tracking Success" which is aimed at the accelerated professional development of young graduates from universities and vocational high schools through permanent employment and internships in companies within our industrial zones across Bulgaria," said Antoaneta Bares during a discussion with university representatives. According to her, NKIZ is also working to regulate demand and supply so that young people can find jobs faster in businesses with high added value. She stated that there should be synchronization of university programs to meet the current requirements of employers. To this end, masterclasses featuring representatives of businesses from the industrial zones of NKIZ can be held at higher education institutions. The Deputy Minister of Education and Science, Karina Angelieva, joined the discussion online, noting that the fourth round table is an important step in the modernization of higher education. Representatives from the Technical Universities in Sofia and Gabrovo, the Medical University in Plovdiv, Sofia Tech Park, and others participated in the forum, reported NKIZ.
