Prof. Lyubomir Dimitrov - Deputy Rector of TU: "Automotive Electronics", which is also aligned with the developing industry in Bulgaria, specifically the automotive one. Both specialties are commissioned and developed jointly, I emphasize jointly with the industry. Both of them." During their studies, students in automotive electronics will gain knowledge about the cars of the new era - electric vehicles, hybrid cars, autonomous vehicles, eco-friendly cars, and others. Prof. Lyubomir Dimitrov - Deputy Rector of TU: "So that bachelor's students can directly enter the production and design of components for automotive electronics." Nikolay Daskalov is an engineering manager at a company designing and developing automotive electronics. He shares that this type of development is gaining more and more popularity, and therefore more personnel are needed. Nikolay Daskalov, Engineering Manager: "The change in the complexity of devices is increasing, which requires additional resources, and consequently, Bulgaria has been a point on the map for a long time from the perspective of the automotive industry, which is why colleagues from the technical university created this specialty, which is automotive electronics, where they try to combine not just the needs of a specific company, but the needs of all participants in the auto and moto business in Bulgaria." However, the Rector of the Technical University, Prof. Ivan Králov, expressed concern that interest in engineering specialties has recently decreased. But he expects that the new one will attract more future specialists. Prof. Ivan Kralov - Rector of TUT: "But we hope that the fact that it is commissioned by the business sector, that our graduates immediately find jobs in their specialty, and that there is high demand, makes us believe that there will be enough interested applicants."
