The Technical University – Sofia announced the first ranking from the admissions campaign for the 2020/2021 academic year. Newly admitted bachelor's students enroll from July 7 to 10 (Friday) for majors in the respective faculty every day from 8:30 to 16:30. Enrollment is final with an original diploma and a photocopy, 4 photos, and a personal ID, after payment of the state tuition fee for the winter semester of the 2020/2021 academic year, the university states. The fee is paid at the post-terminal in Academic Block 1 (Rectorate), floor 3, room 1337. Enrollment personal cards and student certificates are obtained free of charge from the respective faculty office. Student ID cards are purchased from bookstores in the area of TU – Sofia. Those ranked not in their first choice can enroll by submitting a declaration that they wish to remain in the major for which they were admitted and will not participate in the second ranking. Those wishing to participate in the second ranking leave their original diploma at the respective faculty and wait to be re-ranked. In it, they retain their ranking or are re-ranked forward to more desired majors. Candidates not ranked in the first ranking wait for the second ranking without submitting any documents. It will be announced on July 13. Enrollment of admitted students in the second ranking will be from July 14 to 17. Meanwhile, the National Representative Body of Student Councils (NRBSC) and the Student Council at the Technical University – Sofia met with the rector of the university, Prof. Dr. Eng. Ivan Králov. At the working meeting, the conduct of the admissions campaign and its future development, distance learning and the difficulties of practice-oriented higher education institutions, socio-domestic conditions in student dormitories, upcoming changes in the requirements for obtaining higher education, project-oriented learning, and the partnership between higher education and business were discussed.
