On March 9, 2016, the Laboratory of Antennas and Microwave Communications was opened at the Faculty of Telecommunications of the Technical University – Sofia. The event was attended by: Prof. Dr. Eng. Georgi Mihov – Rector of the Technical University – Sofia, Prof. Dr. Eng. Iliya Iliev – Dean of the FT, Mr. Georg Svendsen – Network Construction Director at Teleneor, and Mr. Yassen Guev – Chief Director of Corporate Policy at Teleneor. The laboratory is equipped with a radio relay demonstration line donated by Teleneor, measuring equipment for microwave frequencies from 10 MHz to 40 GHz, an antenna measurement polygon, and a satellite telecommunications system.
