Exactly 13,808 kilometers – as calculated by Assistant Professor Dr. Eng. Ivelio Nachev from the Faculty of Telecommunications. For the second consecutive year, he unfurled the university's flag on the icy continent and created a special signpost indicating the direction and distance to TU-Sofia, a tradition that has become established among Bulgarian polar explorers over the years.

Alongside his scientific research, the radio amateur Ivelio Nachev set himself another ambitious goal – to restore the interrupted radio link between the Bulgarian base "St. Kliment Ohridski" and the world. And he succeeded – after 19 years of radio silence. In the era of satellite communications, see how many radio contacts he managed to establish using the call sign LZ0A from Livingston Island.
