On the initiative of the Chinese Embassy in Bulgaria, a delegation from Beijing, led by Mr. Hui Xu, Vice Chairman of the Chinese Society of Educational Development Strategy, and representatives of the management of the state academic publishing house Qunyan Press, visited TU-Sofia on 9.11. The Chinese guests had previously expressed interest in the opportunities for training Chinese students at TU, particularly in the activities of the Center for Development and Qualification.
At a meeting with the university leadership, which included Vice Rectors Prof. Ivan Králov and Prof. Radi Romaniski, Prof. Ivan Yachev, Director of the Directorate for International Exchange and Integration, Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Technology Prof. Georgi Todorov, Assoc. Prof. Kalin Dimitrov, Head of the Center for Development and Qualification, and Assoc. Prof. Nikolay Nikolov, Head of the Department of Technology of Mechanisms and Machines, Prof. Králov presented TU and its opportunities for education and scientific research, while Assoc. Prof. Kalin Dimitrov explained the specifics of the Center for Development and Qualification's activities, highlighting them as highly attractive and aligned with the needs of the global labor market.
The guests also visited three laboratories at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Technology: 'Digital Construction of Implants', 'Rapid Prototyping', and 'Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems (MEMS)', where the most advanced technological environment is used for the educational process and scientific research.
