
There are 7 days left until the registration deadline for the "BAIT Awards" competition for 2015.
Up to this point, 45 registrations have been made in 12 categories – Educational Award, Student Award, State Administration, Municipal Administration, Business Innovation, Corporate and Social Responsibility, StartUp Company, Mobile Solutions, e-Business, Entertainment Software, Journalistic Contribution, and Special Award for Significant Contribution.
The invitation to your teachers and students is to apply in two of the categories – Educational Award and Student Award.
Educational Award aims to recognize individuals/teams working in the field of education (school, university, BAS) who have contributed to the development and implementation of information and communication technologies in the educational process and/or have developed methodologies and curricula for training personnel for the needs of the ICT business.
The winners so far in this category have been: 2014 - Software University EOOD; 2013 – Uchis.se; 2012 – Telerik Academy; 2011 – Nimero EOOD.
Student Award will recognize a student/student team for a created and implemented project in the field of information technology.
The winners so far in this category have been: 2014 - Ivan Atanasov from the University of Library Studies and Information Technologies; 2013 – a team from MGU and Desislav Kuzmanov from TU Sofia; 2012 – Denislav Lefterov from PU and Zdravko Velinov from TU Sofia; 2011 – a team from MGU.

The campaign and the ceremony are held under the patronage of the President of the Republic of Bulgaria, Rosen Plevneliev, who traditionally presents the Special Award.
This year, MEP and eSkills Ambassador Eva Paunova will award one representative of the winners in each of the 12 competition categories with a working visit to Brussels. The distinguished winners will visit European institutions in Brussels, and during the visit, they will have the opportunity to hold high-level working meetings with representatives of the European Commission, MEPs, and non-governmental organizations active in shaping the regulatory framework of Digital Europe.
In addition to statuettes and certificates, all competition winners also receive monetary awards in the form of vouchers, which can be used to purchase goods or services from companies that are members of BAIT.
The awards will be presented at an official ceremony in early February 2016. The date and venue will be announced separately.

The 5th edition of the "BAIT Awards" is held within the framework of the campaign eSkills for Jobs 2015-2016, which aims to raise citizens' awareness of the need to improve their digital skills. The initiative is implemented simultaneously in 21 EU countries, with BAIT being the implementing partner for Bulgaria. At the national level, the initiative brings together 9 eSkills ambassadors, including Eva Paunova, Deputy Prime Minister Ivaylo Kalfin, Anna-Mari Vilamovska, advisor to the Presidency, as well as representatives from the business sector.
