The European Commission encourages and certifies progress in compliance with the principles laid down in the European Charter for Researchers (the Charter), the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers (the Code) and the related Human Resources Strategy for Researchers (the Strategy) by awarding a distinction called HR Excellence in Research Award. Awarded organizations are granted the right to use the logo HR Excellence in Research, which enhances their international reputation and increases their visibility.
On 28.09.2020, Technical University - Sofia received the right to use the logo HR Excellence in Research. This right is to be renewed in two years, when an assessment of the progress in implementing the Strategy and Action Plan of TU-Sofia will be conducted. for further affirmation of the principles of the Charter and the Code.
The high evaluation by the Commission
is a result of the long-term and consistent policy of TU-Sofia to create and maintain a suitable working environment that stimulates the development of research activities and the career advancement of researchers, in harmony with the principles laid down in the Charter and the Code.
Technical University – Sofia is only the fourth Bulgarian organization honored with the right to use the logo HR Excellence in Research for a period of over 10 years, during which the European Commission has awarded this prize. The other awarded organizations from our country are SUV "Chernorizets Hrabar" (2012), "Institute for Population and Human Research" at BAS (2016) and SU "St. Kliment Ohridski" (2019).
