For the thirteenth consecutive year, the EURIKA Foundation will select students who will receive named scholarships in the amount of 2,000 BGN annually in ten fields of study:
- Computer Science in the name of John Atanasov;
- Mathematics in the name of Academician Nikola Obreshkov;
- Physics in the name of Academician Georgi Nadzhakov;
- Chemistry and Chemical Technology in the name of Academician Rostislav Kaishev;
- Medicine and Biology named after Academician Metodi Popov;
- Agrarian Sciences, including Veterinary Sciences and Forestry named after Academician Doncho Kostov;
- Engineering Sciences in the field of Electronics, Automation and Electrical Engineering named after Academician Dimitar Mishev;
- Engineering Sciences in the field of Mechanical Engineering Technologies named after Academician Angel Balevski;
- Construction and Architecture named after Kolyo Ficheto;
- Economics named after Academician Evgeni Mateev.
For the second consecutive year, following a competition and in accordance with the rules for awarding named scholarships, we will select another ten recipients of the special "Huawei ICT" scholarship in the amount of 1,000 USD for students enrolled in the specialties Communication Engineering and Technologies, Computer Technologies, Informatics, and other integrated fields.
Bulgarian students enrolled in Bulgarian universities in the specified fields, who have completed at least their second year of study with an average grade of very good (5.00) or higher per academic year, are eligible to apply for the named scholarships of the EVRIKA Foundation and the Huawei ICT scholarships, according to the naming of the scholarships.
The best candidates based on documents will be invited to an interview with a specialized jury, which will make the final decision on the recipients of the ten named scholarships and the ten Huawei ICT scholarships.
For more detailed information, we are sending you attached to this letter the Main Rules for Granting Scholarships to Students and Pupils, the Statute of the Special Named Scholarships of the EVRIKA Foundation, and a registration form for applying students. We kindly ask for your assistance in promoting this initiative of the EVRIKA Foundation among students, as well as in preparing and submitting their documents to the Foundation for participation in the competition for the named scholarships and the Huawei ICT scholarships.
Candidates for the named scholarships and the Huawei ICT scholarships must submit or send to the Foundation EVRIKA from 01.09.2015 to 15.10.2015. the following documents:
- Application (free text) for the desire to participate in the competition for obtaining a named scholarship from the "EVIKA" Foundation and the Form by sample /can be downloaded from the website - www.evrika.org/;
- Certificate from the university for academic performance by academic years and enrollment for the new academic year 2015/2016;
- Copy of documents confirming participation and ranking in national and international competitions, olympiads, and conferences, publications in scientific journals, and other such achievements of the candidate in mastering the respective sciences, recognition of creativity, and others;
- Essay on the topic „My Future as a Specialist – Dreams, Plans, and Reality” / up to 3 pages /.
