The Faculty of French Training at the Technical University – Sofia and the Bulgarian branch of the international company PROXIAD (http://www.proxiad.com/english/) have established long-term partnership relations. The goal of the collaboration is to support and develop the quality engineering education provided by the faculty, in accordance with the latest information and communication technologies.
At the signing of the partnership agreement, the Rector of the Technical University, Prof. Dr. Georgi Mihov, expressed his satisfaction that a leading IT company like PROXIAD invests effort in preparing young engineers and hopes that this example of cooperation between TU-Sofia and high-tech business will be contagious, both for other employers and for students.
The Executive Director of PROXIAD-Bulgaria, Alexander Yovchev, stated that the collaboration with the French Faculty of the Technical University – Sofia is the right path for stimulating young people who are ambitious to prove themselves through their knowledge and skills. "We have a long-term partnership with the French Faculty of the Technical University – Sofia. For years, their graduates have become our colleagues, and we are extremely pleased with the quality of preparation of our young colleagues. It is precisely this that led us to deepen the partnership with the French Faculty of the Technical University – Sofia," Yovchev shared.
For his part, the Dean of the French Faculty, Prof. Dr. Eng. Kiril Angelov, expressed his satisfaction with the fact that a leading international IT company, such as Proxiad, has become a long-term partner of the faculty. "This shows that our students and graduates have world-class employers who are ready to share their opportunities during the educational process. For us, this is another recognition that we meet the requirements of large companies in preparing quality engineers," Prof. Angelov added.
Within the framework of the agreement, the leading Francophone IT company will equip a computer laboratory at the French Faculty, provide scholarships for outstanding student results, and proven industry experts will teach a specialized course as part of the educational process.
In this way, the students' training will be closely linked to the requirements of the IT business. Through the partnership agreement, the leadership of the French Faculty and PROXIAD – Bulgaria aim to motivate young people to achieve better results and see the real benefit of their knowledge even during their studies.
