Join us at the official opening of „Ericsson Educate: 5G University“ on November 8, 2022, at 16:00 in Lecture Hall 1152 (TU – Sofia, Block 1), to learn more and enroll in the program.
5G is a platform for services and innovation, with the potential for a positive impact on societies, economies, people, and the environment. Technologies that are part of modern society are undergoing significant digital transformation. Governments, industry, and academia face new challenges for collaboration and the creation of highly qualified engineering personnel with competencies in the field of 5G technologies. Bridging the gap between specialists' skills and the needs of ICT companies is essential to meet the rapidly changing skill requirements. Students must be prepared to participate in and contribute to the digital transformation of their country's economy and the transformation of Industry 4.0. To help address this challenge, Ericsson has developed a digital skills program under the name „Ericsson Educate: 5G University". The program provides a 64-hour in-depth training on 5G technology and standards. The specialized training will be conducted in Bulgarian by lecturers from the Faculty of Telecommunications (FTC), TU – Sofia, based on educational materials developed by Ericsson. The training course is divided into three modules: 5G radio access network (5G RAN), 5G core network (5G Core) and cloud technologies in the architecture of 5G networks (5G Cloud). The duration of the training is two semesters, within the academic year 2022-2023. The goal of the program is to build upon the students' existing knowledge. The focus is on knowledge oriented towards practical technical solutions, aimed at improving students' readiness for future employment in the ICT sector. Upon successful completion of the online assessment, participants in the training will receive a certificate (Ericsson digital badge), certifying the level of acquired knowledge. Ericsson, through its comprehensive educational initiative Connect To Learn, is committed by 2025.to provide support to 1 million children and young people by providing access to digital education and skills development programs.
Students who show interest in participating in the training must complete the online registration form by November 22, 2022, from here
