This is a competition among students from across Europe who come together to test their skills in hardware and software, design, and teamwork, to create robotic racing cars. The organizer is Renesas, a world leader in microcontroller production, which promotes the development of environmentally friendly cars for educational purposes for engineers.
At the competition in Nuremberg, Germany (25.02.), our country participated with two teams - from TUS and from the technological school "Electronic Systems" at TUS, because the students from FETT: Asya Hristova, 3rd year, Vlado Yankov, 4th year, and the master's students Filip Alendarov and Hristo Petranov, with supervisor Assoc. Prof. Dr. Eng. Eltimir Stoimenov, last year won a quota for another team. Then everyone unanimously decided to give a chance to the school team, which they help.
The "TUES" team with the "Stela" car of the twelfth graders: Kaloyan Nikolov, Krassen Angelov, Ivo Stratev, and Martin Ilchev, led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Eng. Dimitar Nikolov, FETT, also achieved an outstanding result – the prestigious 6th place in the final standings.
