Presentation and dissemination of the results from the research and educational laboratory ECT Lab+ and the project "EthiCo", demonstration of cultural exchange and practices in the fields of ecology, technology, and ethics
On August 29, 30, and 31 this year, Technical University – Sofia is organizing a cultural-educational and scientific forum to present and further disseminate the results of the research, training, and discussions conducted under the „EthiCo“ project, within the framework of the European Technological University. Our partners in its implementation are scientists, teachers, doctoral students, students, and experts from Ireland, France, Spain, Latvia, Romania, Cyprus, and Germany. Its goal is to assist in addressing the complex problems caused by the rapid development of intelligent technologies, consumerism, and the global industry, particularly with regard to the ecological crisis.
The priority of the newly formed European academic community is the creation of an interdisciplinary and intercultural educational platform. It will provide European doctoral students, students, and schoolchildren with tools and knowledge to overcome environmental challenges through sustainable technological design. A dialogue is needed among all stakeholders – students, teachers, experts, cultural figures, industry, and the general public – to form a unified position on overcoming global, universal human problems. The central theme is "care" of the individual for themselves, for the Other, and for the planet – our home – through the abilities of human beings for adaptation, change, creativity, and development.
The program of the scientific-applied forum has a cultural-educational character and involves representatives of academic circles, business, and the arts.
