
On 12.10.2022, a delegation from the Kingdom of Morocco, led by H.E. Ms. Zakiya El Midaoui, the Ambassador, visited the Technical University – Sofia. The delegation included Dr. Mohamed Tahiri – Director of the Directorate for Higher Education and Development at the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Kingdom of Morocco, and Prof. Mustapha Abomaarouf – Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy at Hassan II University in Casablanca.
The guests were welcomed by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Eng. Lidia Galbova – Vice-Rector for Scientific and Applied Activities, Prof. Dr. Sci. Eng. Kiril Angelov – Dean of the Faculty of French-language Electrical Engineering, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Eng. Agata Manolova – Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs of the Faculty of Telecommunications, in the Academic Hall of the Technical University – Sofia.
During the meeting, opportunities for cooperation in the field of higher education and scientific research were discussed.
Assoc. Prof. Lidia Galbova welcomed the guests on behalf of the Rectorate and emphasized that the internationalization of the university is part of its development strategy. Prof. Angelov introduced the guests to the activities of the Faculty of French-language Electrical Engineering, while Assoc. Prof. Manolova, in turn, familiarized them with the English and French language programs offered in various specialties. The long-standing cooperation of TU – Sofia with leading foreign universities was also highlighted, as well as its development as part of the European Technological University alliance (EUt+).
The guests expressed satisfaction with the opportunity to train engineers in various specialties. Particular interest was shown in the computer science programs. As part of the visit, the guests toured the National Center for Mechatronics and Clean Technologies at the Technical University – Sofia – Campus "Student City".
