Delegation of the Technical University – Sofia on an official visit to Huawei, Shenzhen, China

Representatives of the Technical University – Sofia participated in the international initiative "China–Europe Exchange on Education Informatization and Talent Cultivation", which brought together representatives of leading European universities and the technology industry in Shenzhen, China. As part of the program, the Bulgarian academic delegation visited Huawei's research and development centers, as well as the company's flagship mobile device production base.

Special attention was given to the innovative ecosystem, including research activities, development laboratories, and industrial production of the company's latest generation of technological solutions.

The delegation from the Technical University – Sofia included Associate Prof. Dr. Eng. Elitsa Giyeva, Deputy Rector for Scientific and Applied Activities and Academic Staff; Prof. Dr. Eng. Milena Lazarova, Deputy Rector for Educational Activities and Accreditation; Prof. Dr. Eng. Vladimir Pulkov; and Associate Prof. Dr. Eng. Agata Manolova, Dean of the Faculty of Telecommunications.

The participation of the Technical University – Sofia in the China–Europe Exchange on Education Informatization and Talent Cultivation initiative provided a valuable opportunity for exchanging experience between European and Chinese universities and for deepening cooperation between European academic institutions and the global technology industry in the fields of education, scientific research, and the training of highly qualified ICT engineering personnel. Opportunities for expanding cooperation between TU – Sofia and Huawei were discussed, including academic partnerships, student certification programs, industrial training, and joint research initiatives.

Huawei's solutions for intelligent learning environments and "smart classrooms", which integrate digital platforms, interactive technologies, and high-speed connectivity to modernize the educational process and create a modern university infrastructure, attracted particular interest.

Huawei's educational and certification programs aimed at developing engineering competencies in areas such as telecommunications, cloud technologies, artificial intelligence, and network technologies were presented.
