The Library and Information Center of TU-Sofia (LIC)

• Library and Information Center of TU-Sofia (LIC)is located in a separate building adjacent to Academic Block 2. It provides a comfortable and well-equipped technical environment for students' self-study and for the scientific research activities of the teaching staff.

• The LIC has 216 workstations, of which 126 are computerized, and offers: 
  - an electronic catalog of library resources;
  - access to electronic resources from ScienceDirect, SpringerLink, Emerald Engineering, EBSCOhost, as well as citation databases SCOPUS and Web of Science;
  - access to modern CAD, CAM, CAE, and other design, simulation, and modeling systems. 

•  The LIC is the information center of the Bulgarian Institute for Standardization (8 workstations in Computer Room 2, 2nd floor), where standards covering various engineering, economic, and other fields can be accessed.

• The library holds over 130,000 volumes of scientific and educational literature in the fields of engineering and economic sciences. Information on available books, periodicals, and electronic resources is visible through the electronic catalog.

• The conference room has 65 seats and is equipped with modern video conferencing systems, simultaneous interpretation, and multimedia equipment. The foyer has space for coffee breaks and poster exhibitions.
  The hall can be rented.

• First place, in the category "Young Librarian of the Year"

On the official holiday of librarians in Bulgaria, May 11, and on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the "Library Week" initiative, the Bulgarian Library and Information Association (BLIA) awarded first place, in the category "Young Librarian of the Year", to our colleague Velina Vasileva – expert in technical information at Library and Information Center (LIC) of the Technical University.
