Adidas hackathon is coming to Sofia and invites the best to compete.
The application deadline is May 10.
Students, PhD students, alumni, teachers, engineers, IT specialists, and developers with knowledge and interest in ICT technologies can participate in the first adidas hackathon in Bulgaria.
The event will take place on May 12 and 13 in Sofia and is part of a series of competitions that will also be held in Barcelona, Madrid, and Amsterdam.
Winners from each country will compete in the international final at adidas headquarters in Herzogenaurach.
Participants in the hackathon in our country will be challenged to come up with a solution on the topic: "Improving fan experience through technology". Their developments may include elements of gamification or personalized digital solutions. Some of the technologies that can be used during the hackathon are JavaScript, HTML/CSS, APIs, Java, C#, C++, Python, iOS, etc.
Adidas clarifies that additional information regarding the task will be provided shortly before the start of the hackathon. Participants, on their part, will have two days to prepare and submit their best solution.
The selected winning team will receive prizes worth 10,000 BGN and a place at the grand final at the company's headquarters, where they will compete with finalists from the other three countries.
The sports brand's hackathon is open to students, engineers, IT specialists, and developers, with the requirement to be at least 18 years old, and participation is free.
They can apply individually or as a team of up to 5 members.
Individual applicants will have the opportunity to form a team during the hackathon.
The working language will be English, and adidas guarantees that participants will retain intellectual property rights over the created solution.
Those wishing to participate must fill out the application form on the event website no later than May 10, describing their skills and team distribution.
Organizers note that places in the competition are limited, so participants will be selected by the company's team based on the submitted information about their skills.
