On 08.07.2016 (Friday), a ceremony was held in laboratory 9130, Block 9 of TU-Sofia, to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the Department of Internal Combustion Engines, organized by the Faculty of Transport at the Technical University - Sofia. Over 100 graduates of the department, holding key positions in the automotive industry, attended the ceremony, including representatives from the vehicle administration of MITC, insurance companies, official importers of passenger and commercial vehicles, sales representatives, notified laboratories, carrier associations, auto parts and automotive equipment importers, training centers, colleagues from related higher education institutions, and others. Prof. Georgi Mihov, Rector of TU-Sofia, accepted the keys to the latest donation – a Renault Trafic vehicle – from the main sponsors of the department. The main goal of the event was to present to the young staff of the DATT department the modern opportunities for education and research in all aspects of the automotive industry.
