Variant No. 1 was drawn (03.07.2017) for 2000 applicants who chose to take the Mathematics test, by Marina Maleva from Kyustendil, and Chani Dimov from Nesebar opened the second envelope in front of the applicants. The rector Prof. Georgi Mihov, the Deputy Rector for Academic Activities and Accreditation Prof. Lyubomir Dimitrov, the Dean and Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Mechanics Assoc. Prof. Georgi Venkov and Prof. Krasimira Prodanova, and the Head of the Academic Department Mr. Spasen Tsvetkov were present at the drawing of the exam variant. The Rector congratulated the applicants on their choice of TUT – Sofia, wished them success and expressed hope that in the autumn they would be sitting on the same benches already as students in the largest technical university in Bulgaria, which in its 72-year history has so far provided higher education to over 100,000 engineers.
