Young people studying at TU-Sofia have excellent prospects in the field of engineering sciences, demonstrate their abilities, and can start developing in the profession they have dreamed of.

The event is extremely important for the Technical University – Sofia, as it shows the long-standing connection and good contacts between business partners and students. Successful contacts with business are traditional for TU-Sofia and are expressed in the equipping of laboratories, as well as participation in the development of new educational programs in accordance with the development of modern fields of engineering sciences and modern technologies.

During the "Career Days 2025", students can start their professional path and here for the first time get acquainted with the prospects for their career realization. These forums, which are gaining more and more popularity, prove that the university and employers work in different ways, but for the same cause – to build human capital, future engineering staff, managers, and educators. In the mutual process, the desire and striving to acquire new knowledge and skills to cope with the challenges posed by the development of science and technology, in the name of human well-being, is especially important.

Engineers are the most sought-after and most necessary specialists today, the most useful with in-depth education, which they receive at the most prestigious technical university in Bulgaria and the region.

Greetings to the participants in the exhibition and to the students were delivered by Prof. Dr. Eng. Lidia Galbova, Deputy Rector for "International Activities and Integration", Vasil Velev, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of TU – Sofia, and Iliya Darakchiev, Chairman of the Student Council of TU – Sofia.
The opening was attended by Prof. Dr. Eng. Milena Lazarova, Deputy Rector for Academic Activities and Accreditation, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Eng. Agata Manolova, Director of the Directorate "MDIVO" and Dean of the Faculty of Telecommunications, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Eng. Alexander Mitov, Deputy Head of "International Activities and Integration" at TU - Sofia.

Over 45 leading companies participated in the 19th edition of "Career Days" and at the Plovdiv branch of the Technical University – Sofia. The forum was an indication of the role, significance, and meaning of the work of the teachers at TU - Sofia, Plovdiv branch, the help and huge support they provide for the training, development, and creation of young engineering staff and their professional realization. Students here in Plovdiv also maximally took advantage of the exhibition to continue the active relationship between university education and business. They had the opportunity to conduct on-site interviews to orient themselves in the labor market, gain valuable experience in the application process, and assess their chances for a successful career.

On behalf of the academic leadership, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Eng. Alexander Mitov delivered a welcome address. He stated that the current presentation provides an excellent opportunity for students to meet representatives of leading global companies, as well as to find their internships and career paths. He noted that students apply their knowledge in real business settings, thereby understanding what else they need to learn to become competitive and reliable specialists. To the leading companies and participants in the exhibition, Assoc. Prof. Mitov stated that the Technical University – Sofia has been building the technical elite of the nation for 80 years, and that it is extremely important for the university to maintain the quality of its graduates, which depends not only on the educational process but also on the connection with business. He said that this is precisely the place where students not only understand the needs of the industry and business but also actively participate in the offered internships and programs. Finally, he wished all students excellent opportunities for new fruitful contacts during the exhibition and added that forums like the current one give teachers and university leadership the opportunity not only to monitor the achievements of their graduates but also to receive feedback from business on what else needs to be adapted, improved, and updated to achieve even higher quality of education. Assoc. Prof. Mitov thanked all employers who help future engineers of Bulgaria find the right direction in their professional realization.

At the opening ceremony of "Career Days 2025" at the Technical University – Sofia, Plovdiv Branch, the Director of TU – Sofia, Plovdiv Branch, Assoc. Prof. Nikola Shakev, the Deputy Director for "Academic Activities and Academic Staff" Prof. Vaelo Nikolov, Dr. Eng. Rosen Kosturkov from "Trakia Economic Zone", Vesela Kuzova from "ABB-Bulgaria", and the Chairman of the Student Council Teodor Demirev at TU – Sofia, Plovdiv Branch, participated.


The last day of the forum "Career Days 2025" gathered many young people at the Faculty of Engineering Pedagogy and College – Sliven of the Technical University – Sofia. The Head of the Faculty and College – Sliven, Assoc. Prof. Vanyo Ivanov, said that in recent years there has been an extremely high interest from companies in students, and companies are willing to provide opportunities for young people to work. This is of exceptional importance for a young person to understand what is expected of them, to try and follow their own path to achieve successful realization, Assoc. Prof. Ivanov added.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Eng. Alexander Mitov, Deputy Head for "International Activities and Integration" at TU – Sofia, wished students from the Faculty of Engineering Pedagogy and College – Sliven to apply their knowledge in real business, but also to understand what else they need to learn to become satisfied and successful specialists.

Students had the opportunity to meet and converse, seek opportunities, and receive offers from businesses to start their professional careers. Representatives from leading companies in the region actively presented available positions for career development and provided guidance for future professional realization to all students who showed interest.


The National Exhibition of TU-Sofia "Career Days 2025" actively promoted the connection between education and business and supported students in their first steps towards a successful professional career.
