For the specialty "Electric Energy from Renewable Energy Sources", candidates who have completed an OKS "Bachelor" and/or "Master" in all specialties from the professional field 5.2."Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Automation", which includes the specialties: "Electrical Engineering", "Electrical Power Engineering and Electrical Equipment", "Electronics", "Automation, Information and Control Engineering" and all specialties from the professional field 5.3. "Communications and Computer Engineering".
For graduates of other technical or non-technical specialties, a bridging course in the specialties "Electrical Engineering" or "Electrical Power Engineering and Electrical Equipment" is offered at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of TU-Sofia.
Application documents are submitted to the office of the Academic Department of the ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING FACULTY, room No. 12210 (block 12), tel. 02 965-23-69.
In modern, specially equipped laboratories, I will study disciplines that form a broad technical culture in the field of electricity and provide opportunities for multifaceted realization.
The unifying unit of training in the specialty is the production, conversion, and efficient consumption of electrical energy from renewable energy sources. The training is interdisciplinary and covers a wide range of issues related to the rational production and consumption of electricity. Students acquire knowledge in the following areas:
The training in the disciplines is conducted both through the use of traditional methods - classroom sessions in the form of lectures and exercises, and through electronic forms of distance learning via access to the training platform via the Internet.
The curriculum of the specialty provides for individual development and presentation by students of two course projects and two course works.
The specialization in "Electric Energy from Renewable Energy Sources" concludes with the development and defense of a thesis. During the thesis design process, students are trained to independently solve engineering problems posed by practical applications or those with a research objective. Special attention is given to the high-quality development of the thesis project and its attractive presentation before the state examination committee during the thesis defense.
Graduate engineers from the specialization "Electric Energy from Renewable Energy Sources" have the opportunity to work in research, design, engineering, and consulting firms and organizations whose activities are related to:
In addition, graduates can successfully continue their professional development as doctoral students and researchers in scientific and research centers, universities, etc.
