One of the many, and perhaps the most fundamental, of all the questions that every young specialist asks themselves is precisely this – why should I choose this particular specialization?

The master's program provides students with the opportunity to enhance their knowledge and skills acquired during their bachelor's degree. The course prepares master's engineers who possess the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities, enabling them to become highly qualified professionals with opportunities for employment in research laboratories, engineering firms, and manufacturing enterprises, as part of the engineering or operational staff, both domestically and internationally.

What are the admission requirements?

Admission to the master's program is based on documents confirming completion of the educational-qualification level "BACHELOR" and/or "MASTER" in specialties from the field of higher education 5. TECHNICAL SCIENCES or professional directions 4.5 Mathematics or 4.6. Informatics and Computer Science.

The training in the Gas Engineering and Management specialty is conducted in full-time and part-time forms.

The duration of both types is within one academic year.

What will I learn?

The general theoretical and specialized training of the master's student in the specialty "Gas Engineering and Management" is built on the basis of four groups of disciplines.

The first group includes specialized disciplines that form and further develop the necessary general engineering training related to the analysis of flows in gas systems, as well as issues related to the generalized characteristics of gaseous fuels.

The second group of disciplines addresses issues related to the systems and equipment for the transportation and delivery of gaseous fuels to the consumer. This group also includes the study of methods and means of measurement.

The third group of disciplines is related to the methods and means of utilizing gaseous fuels, with various energy conversion technologies being examined. The ecological aspects of the utilization of gaseous fuels have been evaluated.

The fourth group of disciplines covers the regulatory framework and regulatory activities applied in accordance with Bulgarian legislation.

My career

The Master of Engineering is prepared to work in all fields requiring higher education in the specialty within the national and global economy, directly or indirectly related to the gas industry. He is competitive in the labor market not only as a specialist in the gas industry but also as a mechanical engineer and energy engineer, possessing the necessary skills to use, manage, and operate equipment with various application areas. He can hold various managerial and executive positions in the production sector, as well as successfully pursue creative professions related to the utilization of gas fuels, teaching, and research activities.
