The training of doctoral students is individual and is carried out in accordance with the achievements of science and technology in the scientific specialty on a national and global scale and the established research problems, for which purpose various forms are used:
- Involvement of leading specialists in the scientific field as supervisors of doctoral students;
- Individual consultations with specialists in the relevant field in the country;
- Collaboration with leading specialists from the country and abroad on international programs;
- Work on Scientific Contracts with the NIS of TU - Sofia and other higher education institutions in the country;
- Preparation and delivery of selected chapters from lecture courses in the scientific specialty under the guidance of a leading lecturer;
- Attendance of lectures by leading specialists in the field;
- Conducting exercises in disciplines of the scientific specialty.
- Familiarization, study, and implementation of new software products in the field of the dissertation work;
- Updating and modernization of existing experimental and research equipment.

- Electrical installations of industrial enterprises;
- Electrical installations of special machines and equipment – study of their modes and characteristics, design of electrical installations;
- Electrical installations of electric arc furnaces, rolling mills, fast-acting reactive power sources;
- Study and improvement of the electromagnetic compatibility of electrical installations and their power supply system;
- Rational use of electrical energy;
- Operation of electrical installations;
- Magnetic-technological devices;
- Optimization of the structure of power supply systems;
- Electromagnetic compatibility in power supply systems;
- Planning, control, and management of electrical energy consumption and load modes;
- Automated systems in industrial power supply;
- Management of technological processes for energy consumption;
- Electronic circuitry in electrical installations;
- Electrical equipment for electric vehicles;
- Electric traction, traction drives;
- Transient processes during loss of adhesion;
- Improving the energy parameters of electric vehicles;
- Electric forklifts, electric cars;
- Power supply for electric transport;
- Regeneration of electrical energy in urban, railway, and industrial electric transport;
- Transient processes in power supply systems–electric vehicles;
- Electrical equipment of traction substations;
