National Center for High-Performance and Distributed Computing (NCHPDC)

The National Roadmap for Scientific Infrastructure implements the policies and measures identified in the National Strategy for the Development of Scientific Research in the Republic of Bulgaria and the Innovation Strategy for Smart Specialization to build modern infrastructure that contributes to retaining highly qualified personnel in the country, attracting young scientists, and stimulating international scientific cooperation. The National Center for High Performance and Distributed Computing (NCHPDC) provides computational resources and software services for scientific research and innovation from individual researchers and existing scientific infrastructures in Bulgaria, which are objects of the Roadmap for Scientific Infrastructures (NRSI).

About the project

The National Center for High-Performance and Distributed Computing manages and operates high-performance computing infrastructure, built using the most modern technologies and established best practices, to provide Bulgarian researchers with access to high-performance computing resources and data storage resources, software, services, and tools at the highest contemporary level, and to enable the full integration of national resources into the relevant European electronic infrastructures. The infrastructure unites the resources of 3 resource centers (IICT, SU, TU-Sofia).
