The Non-Traditional Textiles Laboratory is equipped with a stand for producing non-woven textile materials by the hydrodynamic method and an electrostatic spraying chamber for producing materials involving nanofibers.
The laboratory also has various instruments and devices used in the preparation and study of the produced materials for applications such as: filters, geotextiles, medical clothing and masks, specialized protective clothing, mattress fillers, automotive industry, single-use hygiene products, auxiliary materials in garment manufacturing, etc.
Research is conducted on the main methods for producing non-woven textiles, including needle punching, hydrodynamic method, thermal bonding, direct production from polymer melt – the Spunbond and Meltblown methods, electrostatic flocking, etc.
