"Center for Energy Analysis" is a university-level research laboratory headed by Prof. Dr. Nikola Kaloyanov. It is accredited for energy efficiency audits and certification of buildings and industrial systems.
At CEA, research is conducted and projects are developed in the field of energy efficiency and renewable energy sources. To date, over 160 (Bulgarian) and 22 international projects have been developed. This includes buildings, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, centralized heating, subscriber stations, industrial thermal systems, systems for utilizing renewable energy sources, energy efficiency audits and building energy certification, assessment of potential for reducing energy costs and techno-economic assessment of energy-saving measures, development of municipal plans and programs for renewable energy utilization and energy efficiency, assessments of compliance with energy efficiency requirements. The team is at the core of the development and updating of the national regulatory framework on energy efficiency.
